Mission Olive Tree

Alternative Views:

The Mission olive tree, Olea europaea 'Mission',  is a Spanish olive tree that was imported and  brought into Southern California in the late 1700's by Catholic monks.  The tree has been grown on a large scale commercially in Western States where it is highly drought resistant.  The Mission olive tree begins to bear substantial crops at an early age, and the high quality of the ripened fruit is marketed as a table olive.

Tree was long and looked like it was searching for light. Let's see in the full sun whether it makes some shoots along long stem.
