The Moso Bamboo Plant, Phyllostachys heterocycla pubuscens, 'Moso' grows into one of the most common bamboo groves.  The Moso bamboo plants are often planted to reclaim land that has poor fertility content and to convert barren land into wildlife refuges for protecting, nesting and feeding wildlife animals.  The leaves are as thin as parchment and shed off the poles during the winter.  The Moso Bamboo plant poles grow to 60 feet tall that are compressed into closed thickets, being almost impenetrable to living creatures
