Black Mission Fig Tree

Alternative Views:

Black Mission fig tree, Ficus carica 'Black Mission' is a very sweetly flavored, chewy fig that is loaded with sugar that makes it an important fig cultivar for commercial drying to sell in vacuum packed packets in supermarkets.  This California grown fig is typically tropical in nature and only suitable for growing in very warm climate of 9 and 10, and will be severely impacted by any sudden drops in temperatures in most southeastern USA.  The Black Mission fig tree is recommended to plant and grow in Southern Florida, Southern Louisiana, and South Texas.

Arrived Healthy with buds March 6, 2017

First time I have bought trees by mail. I am not disappointed. I asked that they not be delivered during  a 6 week period where I would not  be available to plant them and I received them upon my return. Hopefully the stressed out fig will be fine.
