Comanche Blackberry Plant

Alternative Views:

The Comanche blackberry bushes are erect growing plants with moderate thorns, and the berries ripen in mid-June.  The size of the  Comanche blackberries is very large with cone shaped berries that are very sweetly flavored, ripening as an example of one of the earliest commercial blackberries to harvest.

Many dead blackberry plants July 16, 2018
Reviewer: John Elwood from Andover, NJ United States
I ordered 37 blackberries of three varieties this year. Upon arrival, I planted them promptly in well-drained, improved soil. While I didn't see emergent growth on many for a while, I held off from judgment to let delayed shoots appear. Some did. No I can give a true count. Cherokee: 4 dead of 12 planted; Shawnee: 10 dead of 15 planed; Comanche: 6 dead of 12 planted.
