Forkert Pecan Tree
Forkert Pecan Tree

Alternative Views:

The Forkert pecan variety originated in Mississippi and is a favorite orchard tree to plant there and in the State of Louisiana, where in-shell tourist pecans are in great demand.  The Forkert pecan nuts are large, and the kernels shell out into beautiful large halves with a nutty flavor.  An 8 foot tall tree will sometimes bear a small crop of nuts the first year of planting.  The unique thin shells of the nut are crusty and bumpy, and the nuts normally ripen in October.

3 of 5 Forkert Pecan Tree February 11, 2016
Reviewer: Carl Cupit from Meadville , MS United States
I am concerned about the Forkert Pecan tree for the following reasons.  Reason one is there were essentially no roots on the tap root. Two, the tap root had some rotting on it.  Three, the bark of the tap root was barely moist as it had not been wrapped very well.  I received the pecan tree at approximately 3:00  pm and immediately set it out.
