Gala Apple Tree
Gala apple tree

Alternative Views:

The Gala apple tree, Malus domestica “Gala” originated in New Zealand and is commonly found offered for sale in supermarkets, The Gala apple trees have become a widely planted commercial apple tree in the USA.  The apples develop a medium red color overlay on top of a yellow thin skin, and this juicy apple has a divine sweet taste that is smooth and delightfully pleasant.  Even though it came from New Zealand, its parent is thought to be the Golden Delicious apple tree as one parent.  This low chill apple can be grown in most States, and the fruit is often preferably eaten when directly picked from the tree to capture that fresh juicy flavor.  The Gala apple trees can be  satisfactorily pollinated with any other apple tree cultivar or the crabapple trees.

Tree was as ordered and planted February 28, 2018
Reviewer: Charles Ward from GREER, SC United States
The Gala Apple tree arrived on time and was well-packaged. I opened the packing as soon as it arrived. The moisture inside the plastic and paper/gel was OK. I planted the tree upon arrival and will wait to see if it sprouts. Just one suggestion: might want to consider adding more mositure-retaining material/water to the packing especially once the outside temperatures rise .
