Persian Mulberry Tree

Alternative Views:

The Persian mulberry tree, Morus nigra  L. 'Persian' mulberries are delicious to eat and are said to have originated from the private gardens of the Shah of Iran, formerly Persia.  The tree is well adapted for growing in most orchards of the United States and is a fast growing tree.  The berries ripen in a progressive transition of colors from the immature green berries which then begins changing to pink, red and purple, and when the black color stabilizes, the Persian mulberry is ready to be picked off the tree to sample.

Vi Persian mulberries I got from Aarons farm also seem to have a pretty good rooting system on them. I also planted them the same day I receive them. We will see how they do here in Colorado...Dan
