Santa Rosa Plum Tree
Santa Rosa Plum Tree

Alternative Views:

The Santa Rosa plum tree is one of the most famous plums that was introduced by Luther Burbank over a century ago from California that still today - a hundred years later - is an important commercially grown orchard tree.  When tree ripened this red plum skin develops a heavy, dusty, gray-waxy 'bloom'  on the slick skin surface, that makes the ripe plums appear rusty in color.  The deep sweet taste of the amber flesh has the overtone flavors of an harmonious blend of acid and sweet complexity that adds a gratifying dimension of pleasurable enjoyment when eaten fresh off the tree.

25 Santa Rosa Plum Tree April 16, 2015
Reviewer: Mike Maxheimer from Washington, IL United States
Trees looked good and healthy. Probably was the time frame that I order them, but most trees had small buds on them coming out of the box. Got them straight in the ground that day and watered a little. Hope they all make it.
