The Swamp mayhaw tree, Crataegus aestivalis is a collected nursery tree from the swamps of Southern Georgia tnat is outfitted with strong, thorny branches that are covered with small green leaves that can be satisfactorily transplanted when the trees are ready and dormant on either swampy soils or dry soils, as long as it is watered at the time of flowering and fruit development that takes place during the late winter months.
