White Dogwood Tree
White Dogwood Tree

White Dogwood Tree, Cornus florida,  ranks as one of the most important flowering trees that are native to the United States.  White dogwood trees are native trees that are best transplanted during the late fall season, or during the early winter when the dogwoods are dormant.  The flower buds begin swelling in the late fall, and then in the spring when the weather begins to warm up.  The white dogwood fragrant flowers begin opening up about one week before the leaves appear.  During the fall, the leaves become brilliant red in color.

Hard to tell December 23, 2015
Reviewer: Eric Anderson from PALM COAST, FL United States
It's hard to tell with this one, because it's so dormant. Roots looked OK, if a bit sparse (i.e., not much to them).
