Yoshino Flowering Cherry Tree

Alternative Views:

The Japanese Yoshino Flowering Cherry, Prunus x yedoensis, tree begins flowering early in the spring with pink buds that shortly after opening will turn pure white.  The Yoshino flowering cherry trees grow quite large, up to 45 feet,  and these trees are cold hardy enough to be successfully grown in the USDA climate zones of 5 through 8.  The pure white flowers of this Japanese flowering cherry tree will encircle the branches and twigs completely in March in the Southern United States.
